Hey IBYers!
Just wanted to keep you posted on a few recent updates to ibeatyou! It’s crazy in LA today because of the Lakers parade (congrats Kobe and crew!) and the weather is finally getting nice here, so we’re in a really excitable mood today; so excitable that we’ll use one too many exclamation points in this post!!! Ah, well, here goes:
- Ability to “Tweet” your entries to Twitter: Now, you can share any entry straight to your Twitter profile! (Hint: it’s a good way to get votes!). Be sure to connect your Twitter account to your ibeatyou account on your Edit Profile page first.
- IM with your AIM, Yahoo!, Gmail, Facebook friends from ibeatyou: The IM bar at the bottom of every page now allows you to log into your AIM, Yahoo!, Facebook, MSN and other IM networks from ibeatyou. Now you can chat with your IBYer friends and non-ibeatyou friends in one buddy list on ibeatyou! Just click on the right most button (seen below):

We’ve also tweaked a few things here and there; some of you may have noticed a slight change in colors on some pages. Also, keep an eye out soon for some other cool things we’ll allow you to do with your Twitter account, so be sure to follow us on Twitter if you haven’t already.

Hey Ibyers,
We’ve heard some great feedback from you guys on the most recent Game Notes where members take it over and thanks to Joeybonezz and MadMike02 for suggesting the initial idea. We love having user involvement with this and obviously the rest of the site! We’ve heard from some people that they would like to do Game Notes as well and you are definitely welcome and please do let GotGame know if you want to be part of it. Since this is the official Game Notes, we’ll definitely want people that are interested to be diligent and get us the videos in time to do it. Just so it is clear as to what is needed here are some things that would be required from people that want to do Game Notes:
- If you are interested, let GotGame know by emailing gamenotes@ibyinc.com
- Once you are selected on a Monday, you will have until Wednesday to get us the final video
- The video must be under 4 minutes
- The video must include another IBY member to make it collaborative and one of you must put together the final video
- The video must be fun
- Feel free to select any five new members you would like to recognize for their achievements
- Feel free to select any comps you want to showcase. Since we want everyone to be able to enter these competitions, they should be comps that are open to everyone on the site
- Once you have selected the members and comps, be sure to send the URLs to GotGame along with the video
Remember, we definitely want you to have fun with this and show the world your personality! Since this will be included in the official Game Notes section and promoted to everyone, we want people to make sure that they get their videos to us by the deadline and keep the videos clean! 
We’d love to have you all participate and if you are interested, send an email to gamenotes@ibyinc.com and we’ll do these on a first come first serve basis. Looking forward to seeing all your great videos!

All American Pet Brands is hosting a pet competition on ibeatyou, where they are giving away some very cool prizes to the winners. One lucky Grand Prize winner will receive $1 Million Dollars from All American Pet Brands! All you have to do is upload a pic of you and your dog. Remember, the winners will be the ones that have dogs that resemble them! So get your entries up, get the word out and see if you have what it takes to win! For official rules and prizes, click here.

We’re excited to announce the launch of a new ibeatyou event in anticipation of Year One starring Jack Black and Michael Cera. In the film, they play best buddies who get banished from their primitive village and set out on an epic trip- the world’s very first road trip!
The movie comes out on June 19th, and we’re gearing up for it by starting four Year One competitions:
-Year One: Amazing “Year One” Invention
-Year One: Funniest Road Trip Picture
-Year One: Old School Buddy Picture
-Year One: Best Picture of Your Tribe
Start digging through those photo albums, because we want to see your best old buddy pictures!

Hey IBYers in the New York City area,
I’m gonna be in town for a few days taking care of some stuff, and I thought it’d be cool to meet IBYers in NYC! I can’t think of a better way to spend a Saturday than discussing crazy competition ideas over some nice cold beers. Hope you can stop by and say hi! And if you do, bring your video cam! 
Be forewarned: I will be bringing rubberbands.
