Hey Ibyers!
There have been a few questions and complaints from some of you regarding the staring contest and people you believe may be cheating in some form, so I wanted to explain what’s going on.
I noticed some of the comments were wondering why certain entries fouled out when the stares seemed legit. These entries were fouled out because there were inconsistent scoring patterns. If you have any questions, please do let me know. Ibeatyou is about competing, which means winning fair and square. It’s easy for us and our members to spot suspicious voting, and we will foul out entries that have used unfair methods to vote up their score because it is not fair to the other entrants. This goes for all competitions, not just the staring contest.
We prevent cheating, but don’t interfere with voting in any way and will never do so. Love an entry? Vote it up! Think a lame one is in first place? Vote it down! But most of all- have fun, and play fair! Now go out and compete!
Thanks!

I’m not cheating or doing anything….check them out. My fouls shouldn’t have happened.

Hey Matt!
Any user on the site can call a foul, which may be why you’ve seen some show up on your profile. I was referring to “foul outs.” Only a member of the iby team can call a foul out. When that happens, the entry become ineligible to compete. If you have any questions, please send me a message. Thanks!

My first video upload had poor quality, so I uploaded it again in a different format. I also challenge another person and uploaded the movie from my new YouTube account (same video).
How do I delete the the extra two videos that I don’t need? There is nothing in help about how to remove a video…that’s odd isn’t it?
By the way. I will win the “no blink staring contest”. Just wait till I get through this allergy season!!

Its almost impossible to check if a stare is valid or not. even a simple movie with few movement in it and simply making it slow motion will have a good result. And im not even talking about how easy it is to edit a video of that quality nowadays. I bet for 50$ you could get a perfectly valid looking stare video ( with movement in the background, the one staring moving here and there, waving etc etc ) in which someone stares for over 10 hours lol.
PS: If you dont believe me, its gonna cost you 50$ and i’ll contact someone that’ll do it. Though you would have to pay in advance, its not like i’ll make someone work for a random inet anonymous…
