ImHungry here. GotGame and I have spent quite a bit of time going through all your feedback and wanted to discuss some current and new processes which came out of your feedback. We will begin enforcing these starting today and thank you all for your comments. As you know, we always listen and will always work to make sure you all have a great experience! So without further delay, here are some clarifications and changes:
- Attacks against other members or groups will not be tolerated. Obviously we want you to show your competitive spirit as we are a community of competitors, but personal negative attacks will not be tolerated.
- Cheaters will now be penalized even further.
- 1st offense: 500 points will be deducted
- 2nd offense: 2,500 points will be deducted
- 3rd offense: Your account will be disabled
-As far as foul outs, please be sure that you’re using “All Me” correctly. If you’re not sure, check out this blog posting. In the future, fouling out will carry a penalty so please be careful. If you accidentally put “All Me” on an image you found online, you can remove it to avoid fouls. Just go to your competition log and click “edit this” next to the entries you want to update. Uncheck the All Me box, re-save, and you’re good to go!

I only have 2 questions:
1.) Can you make video-all me’s worth more than they are, and more than regular ‘all mes’? I know a lot of people that would consider making videos if they were worth more…You see the daily vid challenge is usually worth about 10 points, while the others can be worth over a 100 - and that’s silly.
and
2.) What’s the verdict on ‘nip-rolling’? I think it might be a new trend, but I don’t want to offend anyone…lmao

I concur on the video thing… videos are obviously take a hell of a lot more effort than posting an image of yourself or one you found on Google - I don’t even enter those competitions…
Also, nip-rolling is something that I support with an iron fist and will not tolerate it’s downfall. If you don’t believe me, please enjoy the many videos written, produced and directed by Lordnugget, c_tizzie, and of course, myself.

i like the consequences for the cheaters. maybe that will discourage some of it. also, all the attacks on other users is so childish, i love it when i see a comp removed because of it. humans are competitive by nature, but there is no need to be ugly about it. keep up the good work!

i am with the fact that personnal attacks are a issue, being a victim myself. now being as a “former cheater” i also think the point deductiob thing is a great idea, though i disagree with the point values rather i would make them higher.
i have no comment on the “nip-roll” thing.

I like where you’re going with the cheating penalties. I’m still advocating for daily caps on shared entries. Some people are hella gratiutous. (I’ve seen as many as 30 from one person in one day.) And I gotta think those people are making your servers sweat.
Also, co-sign on making video comps worth more. There are some folks who regularly make some really entertaining vids whom I check for like they’re a network on my digital cable.
Oh…props on the recent layout tweaks to the home page.

You guys are AWESOME!! I truly appreciate your efforts in continuing to make this a FUN site for us. I commend you in all of the hard work! I also think videos should be worth more. A lot of people’s video entries are REMARKABLE!
Oh and what is nip-rolling? Buwahaha!

I am wholly convinced that IMHUNGRY is taking up the ‘nip-rolling’ mantle! Among all of the wonderful comments on this blog entry, I’d have to humbly submit that ‘nip-rolling’ would clearly be Mr.Hungry’s favorite! ;P
Anyway, if anyone ever doubts how awesome the people working to make this site better actually are - just send them feedback. They are the most considerate and responsive ‘webmasters’ I’ve ever even heard of! They even respond to my absurd comments and are kind even when I clearly push the envelope of decency…
Kudos again to IBY! You guys will one day rule the whole universe, not just mine.

PS A clear, 3 strikes policy and point deductions for cheaters are both brilliant ideas…I trust IBY’s judgment on a case-by-case basis! I would like to kiss all of your mothers, with tongue, for giving you brilliant folks to us…

First of all, IMHUNGRY and I thought of the 3 strikes and ur out thing so dont be taking all the credit HUNGRY! yeah you know it…haha, and its about time you guys brought that cheating punishment thing in, but your a TAD bit leaniant..500 points if ur caught once? thats nothing…nobodys gonna care about 500 points when uve cheated ur way to getting 20,000 are they? take HALF thier points score then we’ll see if anyone cheats….

Excellent news, well done on the changes, these are the 2 areas that have made me almost leave IBY, it really got very nasty there for awhile and cheaters have been rife for months and months now which has been frustrating when you know some of the users above you in the ranks were only that high because they cheated and it appeared that very little was being done about it.

Great new changes. IBY, is getting much better. These new rules will more than likely make all of the cheaters think twice about what their doing. Great job guys !
