Happy Birthday, dude!
Wow, can you believe it? ibeatyou is one year old today! It was one year ago when we publicly launched, and we can hardly believe where we are now. Never could we have imagined the type of friendships we’d all form, the awesome competitions you’d come up with, the hilarious entries you’d enter, and just the flat-out fun that we would have on the site with all of you. We don’t usually like to toot our own horn, but a few cool things we did this first year included:
- Doing an awesome group lip dub with Jessica Alba, Romany Malco and other users!
- Giving out prizes in competitions for Twilight, Lady Gaga, Role Models, Saveology.com ($5000 cash!!) and more!
- Sending Madmike02 to the World Poker Tour Celeb Invitational and flying Ravenly out to the Love Guru premiere!
- Holding our own ibeatyou Summer Olympics! (Waynester, we never want to see you in that tanktop again)
- Getting on TV! On an episode of NCIS and featured on Extra!
- Rapping. Yes, rapping about ibeatyou and we promise to never do it again.
Year two will bring a lot of new developments, so keep on the lookout for those things. As always, your feedback and suggestions are so important to us, so keep it all coming too!
It’d be interesting to hear from you out there on what you felt was most memorable in Year One of ibeatyou. Was it a competition? A particular entry you loved, a special event, or someone you befriended? We’d love to hear your stories!

I started on here since March of last year, so I’ve been on here for one year as well. Thank you for creating this site. It has been a blast on ibeatyou and I hope it never stops. I have said I was going to leave, because my life has been consumed by IBY. It would be cool if IBY did become my life. Meaning, being part of the IBY team *wink wink*
My friends birthday is today as well. ^_^

Congratulations to I Beat you first off, for creating a wonderful and competitive enviorment for anyone to join. It’s truely a revolutionary concept on the internet!
Thank you IBY for introducing me all the people I’ve met, including people I’m going to meet in the future. Without this website I would be missing out on several great friendships and the chance to fly to California.
My most memorable moment about this year is meeting the IBY crew. The poker tourney was great, but being able to hang out with you guys tops that ten fold.

IBY is 1 year old huh?, Well congrats IBY, just thinking the time i spent on u WOW it was something, and all that happened in a year? well time flies for some ppl and slow for some ppl, i thank u IBY 4 the opportunity u gave me as in all of us to meet great ppl and friends and don’t forget the celebs that we add them as friends but they don’t really talk to us idk y exactly, or sending them a massage but they don’t answer back, or not smack talking back to any of us, or not being available on the new successful IBY IM, f only a celeb would read this and respond to me using any way, any celeb would do, but i prefer Jessica Alba or Lady Gaga!

I dont know how to thank you guys! like i said before this site tottaly changed my life BIGTIME and i needed it. i met so many true great friends.

Happy Birthday IBY, and thank you for the memories so far… IBY thank you for getting me off the rechid MySpace. I honestly do not know what i would do if i had no IBY. I spend at least 3 hours a day on this site. The best thing about IBY to me, is that it is so original. IBY is a site that not only lets you talk to friends, but interact with them in a way never seen before. 55 more days to go, until the 1 year anniversary of my first entry, and it feels like just yesterday I was browsing YouTube, and I stumbled upon the Jessica Alba staring competition entry… talking about people I had never heard of named Heat_Girl, MarJan, etc. My point is, is that even though IBY might frustrate us with surprise layout changes, that was way overblown by members including me, I will never forget getting yelled at by the higher ranked players(DAVE) for down voting( I DON’T DO IT ANYMORE), which honestly thought I was using for strategy.
Anyways before I get off subject….
Thank You IBY, for all the great memories so far, and lets all hope for more in the future.
