So you are reading this because you are interested in updates to ibeatyou OR you just liked the cat playing DS pic. You might think: “Wait, this has nothing to do with ibeatyou…”, but you are TOTALLY WRONG. It IS related to ibeatyou because they’re part of a complicated mathematical equation, duh!!!!! See as follows:

Ok, now that you get that, here are some recent updates we’ve updated on ibeatyou:
- User Highlight Reels: Now you can easily show off your best entries on your profile, so friends can see (or can be reminded of) what awsum skillz u have. Sometimes, after you’ve joined tons of competitions, your best entries get hidden or your friends might’ve forgotten that ringtone dance you shook your booty to a few months ago. Just go through your competition log and select up to 6 of your best entries. Your highlighted entries show up immediately on your profile. Check out joeym333’s highlight reel for some ringtone booty action!
- New Profile Layout and Quiz Widgets: We jiggered a few things on your user profile so that your stats, trophies and highlights are more easily seen. More of your background skin can be seen as well! If you have a quiz widget on your profile, we’ve also made that shinier, smaller and faster. Wanna see it in action? Take the impossibly redonkulous Can You Tell Time quiz on Uprooted’s page!
- Gifts for Friends and Foes: Now you can send gifts to your ibeatyou friends! Did they create a totally sick competition? Did they totally step it up in their entry? Or was their quiz totally quiztastic?! (sorry, I went overboard) Anyways, show some love (or talk trash) by sending your friends and foes gifts. These gifts are displayed in each user’s Gift Box on his or her profile page, like below:

Some gifts are animated and interactive if you click on them. To buy credits for gifts, you’ll need to either purchase them (using PayPal, your mobile phone or Credit Card) OR you can earn them for FREE. Just click on the orange Buy Credits button in the top right hand corner as seen in this screenshot:

There are over 100 different gifts for every sentiment or grudge you may have. We will be regularly adding more types of gifts, so let us know if you have any ideas for anything else you’d like to see in there! You can check out the gift store right here.
- Simplified Competition Log - Your competition log, where you can find all your entries and track how you’re doing in every competition, was simplified to make it easier to use and manage. We hope that you find it easier to use. Let us know what you think!
- Make it Viral Bar - We’ve made it easier to share a competition you’ve entered or created with the addition of the Make it Viral bar. What does Make it Viral mean? It just means it spreads like a crazy E-virus! Why would you want to do that? Cuz you want to GET SOME VOTES, sonnnn! At the top of very competition, you’ll see a bar with buttons that allow you to Tweet, Facebook Share, Stumble, Digg the competition page, like so (courtesy of Mr. Dwayne Wade!):

Whew! We also made a few other tweaks here and there throughout the site that you’ve probably already noticed and we won’t bother to bore you with here. If you do have any feedback on any of these recent changes or other suggestions, feel free to let us know!
I Love Everything but could you please rethink our profile layout? I suggest let us be able to put stuff where we want. Just for the OCD people like me.

First off thanks for putting the ‘Rank’ back at the top.
But I agree with Abdulionaire, you should make the prof layouts like YouTube where you can choose what you want shown & if you want it on the left or right side. Also what about a ‘Transparency’ option? That way we can make the boxes on our profile slightly transparent so the background image can be seen better. Maybe have a ‘75%’, ‘50%’ & ‘25%’ transparency option. What do you think?

Thanks for putting out RANK at the top of the page once again but i do think it is a bit small in size, the size you had before was perfect it was big and everyone could see, the rank should be one of the most important things on your page whether ur ranked 1st or 200th. Bigger please, move everything else down a bit

the only thing i don’t like is that there is no longer a “recently entered” on the pull down in the competion page it makes it easier especially if its a one day comp

Hi bwolf,
The default “ongoing” view should give you the same view as the “Recently Entered”. Lemme know if this doesn’t address your concern.

I think that others should not be able to view who we sent gifts to. Sometimes it’s kinda private. We should have the option to just delete sent gifts, why do we need to keep a history of these?
