Irony is hilarious.. when it’s happening to someone else. It’s like the real world’s version of sarcasm, and if these pictures are any indicator, the universe has got a helluva sense of humor. We’ve found the 10 funniest ironic photos:
Ah, the golden rule. Too bad we can’t hang a “No Solicitors” sign on our phones.
Too busy reading the sign to watch the road.
“I would have been at the protest sooner, but the line at KFC was sooo long.”
I’m guessing there’s a high drop out rate at this flight school.

Saving the world and voting green, one Hummer at a time.
Fight! Fight! Fight!
Cool flames!
Turn around. Go back in that store. Buy a new shirt.
You don’t have to rub it in. Geez.
ibeatyou.com had a competition to find the most ironic picture. You can see the entries below, or go to the competition. In the timeless words of Alanis Morrisette- isn’t it ironic? Don’t you think?

These are great! Almost every single one of em. I’m a big fan of irony in all it’s many guises:P
I wanted to steal them all and make my own post on my blog
And dan is right, the swastika is a symbol that means luck and many other good things and has been used literally for centuries. That’s why Hitler used it. Objectively speaking, I like the look of swastikas and what they mean. I always wanted to get a pendent or even a tattoo…but Hitler certainly f*cked that up for me. It’s still used widely in the East though.

about the swastika, hitler flipped the direction and tilted it. the original sign was cross-like with the flag sections jutting to the left, not the right

Love them all. However, just the idea of Al Gore and a “hummer” makes me want to bathe in Purell.

Yep, in fact I believe the “swastika” was a Hindu symbol originally… it really sucks that more people don’t know this. Hitler really perverted its original symbolic meaning.

Irony is something that is exactly the opposite of what it says it is. Literalism (as depicted by the burning truck and a few other photos) is not irony, that is literalism. In fact, literalism is the exact opposite of irony.
So I guess when you listed a photograph that is literal but you call it irony, YOU were being ironic.
Hmmm…
Good job then.

“the swastica isnt originaly a nazi symbol its means like prosperity and goodness , just so happens hitler liked the look of it” correction if the swastika turned to be straight up and flipped it means prosperity and goodness thank you for being a dumb ass it was suppose to be funny not to be accurate.
