Pre-Tom Katie Holmes plays the black sheep who invites her family over for dinner. The sheer number of things that go wrong will make your hectic Thanksgiving seem idyllic by comparison.
What’s Cooking
A modern Thanksgiving story set in LA. Get ready for some “ZOMG, Drama!” followed by a warm-fuzzy feeling.
Pocahontas
Sure, it’s a disney-fied version of how the first Thanksgiving went down, but if you’ve got kids to entertain, this is the best dvd to pop in. And don’t lie, you totally know all the words to “Colors of the Wind.”
Squanto: A Warriors Tale
Yeah, it’s historically inaccurate (thanks again, Disney) but there’s fighting! And Pilgrims!
The House of Yes
We’re not going to lie to you, Tori Spelling is in this movie. That aside, it’s a great quirky film about Thanksgiving at home. This one is a little indie, but even gramps will fall for Parker Posey’s offbeat character.

A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving
Oh sure it was originally “made for TV,” but Charlie Brown tops the movie list! Snoopy + an extra serving of mashed potatoes is a great way to wind down the day.
