I don’t know about you, but I’ve always adored the idea of ruling a country- while dripping in diamonds and a long line of family wealth and power. Wow, says something about my ego doesn’t it? Either way, just because you’re born into a life of priviledge, doesn’t mean you’re born into a life of beauty….physical beauty that is. Sure, you may own some of the most coveted property, cars and clothing in the World, but just because it’s yours doesn’t mean it’ll make you look any better. That certainly is NOT the case with these deliciously hot royals- not only were the blessed with royalty and a nice gene pool, but they were blessed with looks too. Dirty bastards….looks like some people DO have it all.

1. Queen Rania of Jordan

Who??? Exactly, I said the same thing, when I walked by an issue of Conde Nast Traveler and a stunning model in a couture gown graced it’s cover. Turns out, that “model” was Queen Rania. Not only is she a stunner, but she’s an intelligent, powerful woman who focuses her energy on expanding global awareness for better education, and the quality of education for Jordanian children. In 2008 she showed her social media/web skills by launching her own YouTube channel, to invite viewers to give their opinions of the Middle East and talk about stereotypes they may have of Arabs and Muslims. Queen Rania posted videos on YouTube in which she asked people to send her their questions about Islam and the Arab world and provided responses to those questions and explained the truth about various Arab and Muslim stereotypes. Over five months she posted videos on subjects that included honor killings, terrorism and the rights of Arab women. She’s one tough cookie for taking on the challenge, or for expanding consciousness on issues of the world and her country. Brains and beauty…..that is hot.

2.     Prince Harry

As a young buck everyone watched as Princess Diana raised the two children she adored with her life; the adorable heart throb Prince William and that poor little ginger kid….Prince Harry. Turns out that little ginger boy wasn’t going to stay in that “red-headed awkward stage” but he’d prove to be the hotter of the two brothers, and also the wild child and everyone knows nothing is sexier than a “bad boy.” This little prince has was pegged by the tabloids as a rebel when he was caught smoking marijuana, boozing it up and gallivanting around town with various ladies- oh Myspace and Facebook, even royalty can’t espcape your evidence of drunken escapades. Since then, Harry has proven to be quite the standup man with various military honors, titles and by settling down a bit with girlfriend Chelsy Davy.

3. Princess Madeleine of Sweden

Swedes are one attractive bunch of people, so naturally it would make sense that their princess is the epitome of Swedish sex appeal; blonde, blue-eyed, buxom, “girl next door” with a naughty side vibe. Dream girl, right? Madeleine also fulfills her royal duties by being a patron of the organization Min Stora Dag, the Swedish equivalent of Make-A-Wish Foundation and interning for UNICEF under the division of child protective services. Annnnd….she looks good in a swimsuit.

4. Charlotte Casiraghi

Charlotte is 4^th in line for the throne of Monaco and her maternal grandmother was the famous actress Grace Kelly, she is the second child of Caroline, Princess of Hanover. Charlotte has made herself a staple in the fashion scene as the editor-at-large of Above magainze, as well as showing up as a VIP guest to various designers such as Stella McCartney. Having a front row seat at fashion week sure helps if you’re royalty…especially if you’re beautiful. Oh and in case you weren’t already feeling bad about yourself, she’s only 23….

5. Prince Carl Philip

The comparison between Prince Carl and Orlando Bloom is uncanny really- the son of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden has studied graphic design, worked with various charities and is a race car enthusias…. he’s the only 30 years old, single as they come and wait, did I mention, looks like Orlando Bloom? Who’s coming with me to Sweden??? Plane ticket please.

6. Prince William

Though Prince William didn’t age as gracefully as we thought he would when he was in his teens, he’s still quite a handsome man….teeth and all. The son of Princess Diana certainly took tips from his Mother and in his 27 years as lived a full, charitable and exciting life; obtaining a degree from the University of St Andrews, and spending parts of a gap year in Chile, Belize, and countries in Africa, serving in the Royal Air Force, The Prince also became a patron of the Tusk Trust in December 2005, a charity that works towards conserving wildlife and initiating community development, including providing education, across Africa, working with HIV/AIDS charities….and playing polo. Apparently, he’s quite good. Thank goodness he looks more like Mom than his dear old Dad.

7.Prince Andrea Casiraghi

Why hellllo gorgeous. The 25 year old son of Princess Caroline, brother to Charlotte (mentioned above) rocks the long golden locks and a seriously golden heart to match- he spent eight months teaching children in Senegal, Togo, and Niger, patronage of the Motrice Foundation, which funds research into cerebral palsy and did his graduate studies in New York City. He’s beautiful, he speaks French (swoon)….and he’s taken, by an equally beautiful, powerful heiress- Tatiana Santo Domingo. Damn it, the world isn’t always fair.

8. Crown Princess Letizia

Former journalist from Oviedo, Spain is the wife of Felipe, Prince of Asturias, who is heir apparent to the Spanish throne. Though she’s not of Royal blood, she certainly deserves the title- going by the looks of her. So what does this beauty queen (ahem, I mean, Princess) do all day? Her work will focus on social issues such as children rights, culture and education….and, being hot.

9. CrownPrincess Mette-Marit of Norway-

This platinum, Scandinavian royal is the wife of Crown Prince Haakon of Norway…and just like the other royals, she’s using her power for good use. Mette-Marit is a UNAIDS Special Representative, and president of several other organizations such as, Red Cross Norway, The Norwegian Council for Mental Health, among others. Sounds like being a Princess doesn’t just mean sitting around wearing jewels and drinking champagne, oh silly me.

10. Princess Eugenie of York

This may be the first time you’ve hear of her, but it certainly isn’t the first time she’s caused a stir. The nineteen year old princess younger daughter of Prince Andrew, Duke of York, and Sarah, Duchess of York, was recently caugh with some friends dancing naked in the middle of the night on the grounds of their boarding school, rumor has it that there was a little booze involved, naturally. Since the incident, she’s calmed down a bit and focused on her studies at Newcastle University, but don’t be surprised if you hear more of her in the future.
