WHY DO PEOPLE TAKE IBY SO SERIOUSLY?!

I dunno, I dont like it when People attack me personally, doesnt matter if they dont like my entries, but when they attack ME, thats when I take it seriously, other than that I dont really, I have fun on IBY but when the HATERS roll in thats when it stops being fun and thats when my smile turns upside down (see more)

I think they actually think that this site means something. If they win, or foul out, or offer a "beatdown" or get points I think that people ACTUALLY THINK this is serious for some reason. It's just a game...that's all. (see more)

People take IBY seriously because IBY is secretly ran by the CIA's Psychological Department. IBY is pushing subliminal messages into our brains, encouraging infighting amongst our fellow members.
That is why my Russian IBYing hat has a foil inner lining. I'm safe. This will allow me to reach #1 in the World without becoming subconsciously controlled by the CIA. Their ultimate goal? We don't know but the "IBYMAMC" (IBY Members Against Mind Control) have developed many theories. (see more)

Some people just go nuts on here. It is okay for them to win, and win big while they are at it, but they DEMAND respect from the new people. They dis them, just because maybe they come into a comp that these people want to win, and the pee-wees win it.
For me, this is just fun. I can't be on here a lot because I work two jobs and I am TRYING to have a social life away from the computer. For me this is just relaxation, and a chance to chat with some people I already know or am getting to know.

Because people like to take stuff serious it is more fun that way. If u take it just like a game ... it wont be fun will it now. Even if u dont get money.... (dude if u wana get money this aint the place). Yes i like stuff to be serious . That way it is more fun . Like when watchin a movie. If u forget a sec that its not real it will be more interesting. If for only a second u imagine that the movie is real you find it even more fun. If you think -"Its just a movie so what?" then u dont really have to watch movies do u . You can go outside and do something . But no u stay in and watch the movie... (sorry if u got lost somewhere i think it got pretty senceless in the end XD)  (see more)

Well, I guess I don't take it so seriously, I've slipped from 33 to 82 in ranks in no time! But I have a busy life, so I'm on here when I can.
But I do agree that cheating (even if for fun) should not be happening. IBY is all about fun, and cheaters take away the fun. Besides, it's something about that "oh yeah" feeling when you deliver a beatdown or get an IBY from someone. It makes you feel good, and feeling good can lead to addiction, and as we all know, addiction is a serious thing!
