Best Speech Line

There were many great lines in President Obama's speech but this one really struck me:

"And to those nations like ours that enjoy relative plenty, we say we can no longer afford indifference to suffering outside our borders; nor can we consume the world's resources without regard to effect. For the world has changed, and we must change with it."

I guess it's just a reminder that we need to extend a helping hand those in need but it caught my attention and I thought it was a good line. (see more)

My favorite line was:

"Forty-four Americans have now taken the presidential oath."

It's funny, because this is a popular misconception. It's not Obama's fault, either. I don't intend to disparage him for saying it because W. was considered the 43rd President...

Barack Obama is actually the 43rd person to take the Presidential Oath, although in common parlance it's accepted that he is the 44th President, because Grover Cleveland had two, non-consecutive Presidential Terms and is counted twice because of that separation.

But the historical fact is that NOW, after he was sworn in, 43 men have taken the oath of office, not 44. Grover Cleveland simply wasn't 2 different men...
