It was long time ago, plus he was a slave................. so yu get the pikture :| and no yu have to go to the hospital they perform surgery to remove it and stop the bleeding...

I know, did any surgeon or doctor remove it without having the victim bleeding to death? If the knife stays, the man will die of infection thanks to the materiel of the blade.
