Worst Love Confession

It had been four months since me and my first boyfriend had started going out when I told him I loved him. He stared at me in terror, and then mumbled that we couldn't see each other anymore because his Mom didn't think I was good enough and that he was just using me to feel accepted by his dad. I've always been a really shy person, and could never really speak to people. At 19, I fell hopelessly in love with someone. I didn't know how to say it directly, so I wrote a letter to that person, revealing all, but not exactly saying "I'm in love with you". The person came to me the next day and asked me to explain what I actually meant. Right then and there, I said those words I couldn't utter before. There was no reply, and I was left hanging for a day (the longest day in my life). The next day that person wasn't at work, and I was told that "my love" had resigned.
