Most Ridiculous Fine

2007: It was in Boston. We were going from NY to Boston, and we went to the Fenway Park. We put the car in a corner for 10 minutes. Then, when we get back to the car, it was a ticket. My dad was FURIOUS!! It was his 1st ticket in 17 years driving in USA. (see more)

OK so i have two speeding tickets here is what makes them ridiculous.

Ticket One... it was my first car a beater it was an '84 Omni the speedometer topped out at Eighty but the cop told me i was doing 85 so and he pulled me over after i reached my drive way which in PA is illegal but idk that until after i paid my fine FUCKER..

2nd one was in my new car an AVEO again sure as hell isn't a speed demon machine and this one was ridiculous cuz it was an unmarked car FUCKERS and i lost my license for 3 months cuz of it.....

My 1980 Trans Am
Ticket: $650
Offense 1: 90 in a 55
Offense 2: Excessive Acceleration (oops)
Offense 3: Failer to wear seatbelt (Car was new to me and had no seatbelts)
Offense 4: Expired Inspection Sticker (again car was new to me, just picked it up and had 7 days to get it inspected)

Result: Walked away without paying a dime ;) (pays to know people) (see more)

When I was looking to apply to colleges, I parked near one of the meters on College XYZ's campus. Unfortunately, I didn't know that the school required a parking permit to park in front of the meter, in addition to $3 in quarters, so when I got back to my car after my admissions interview, I was greeted with a $120 parking ticket.  (see more)

So i know $45 isnt alot of money, but that is the fine given out by university if you choose to pay your tuition in 2 parts as opposed to one lump sum. $45 dollars because im a student and dont have 5000 dollars sitting around for when you want it, and have to work all semester to make 2 payments. assholes. (see more)

In Pittsburgh's Strip District, there are five blocks of bars, restaurants and night clubs. There are also five blocks of businesses that are only open during the day. Metered parking along all 10 of the blocks is FREE after 6pm M-F. And all day Sat + Sun.
I went to a bar in the Strip District one Sat night some years ago. I parked my car on one of the blocks where all the businesses were closed. At a meter. Which I understood to be FREE. When I returned to my car at the stroke of breakfast o'clock, there was a ticket waiting for me. For $340!!! It said I had parked illegally in a handicapped parking space. When I looked at the meter, sure enough, it had a handicapped sticker on it. But all the businesses were closed. All the signs said metered parking free after 6pm. So...WTF?
I went to court. Explained myself. Judge reduced the fine to $100. Which was better than $340, but still a big pile of suck.  (see more)
