Vacationing on the Big Island, I went to the SW tip of the island where there was a cliff approx. 60-70ft. high, with a half-half rope/metal ladder extending to the base, which was the water. Deep-wise, it was about another 30ft. Well, when my friends and I got to the cliff, we noticed other people standing around not jumping in. I feed off the exhilaration of certain extremities, so I wanted to jump. Another young man, Keith Sorrenson, decided to jump too. He got too anxious, and jumped for his first time pretty quickly. His problem was that he bent his legs and cramped up at the base, in the water. He couldn't quite float and everyone was worried. Being the only other person wanting to jump, I jumped in after him and tried to massage his leg's cramp out so he could climb. That didn't work, so I had to help him lift himself onto the ladder (approx. 3ft out of the water). Took almost 10min for him to climb up, slipping three times onto my shoulders. TA-DA!
