Unfulfilled Valentine's Desire

I usually get cards from both my 91 year old Grandma and my Mom. This year - nada!

WTF?

I'm starting to think that my Grandma is trying to push me into an arranged marriage - because in her last letter to me, she made explicit reference to my impending 30th birthday and how 'it would be nice if I had a new lady in my life [ostensibly because time is 'running out.]'

Anyway, this year - I got bupkis mit kuduchas. Yeah, it's Yiddish...whatevs...look it up. ;P (see more)

My boyfriend always gets me flowers, but this year since he spend so much on dinner he didn't get me any flowers. :[ I guess I can't complain though, dinner was delicious.

And I also didn't have either one of my parents calls and wish me a Happy Valentines Day. (see more)

I have this 'guy-friend' right? Even though we spent v-day together, we really didn't get to spend time just by ourselves and get to cuddle...we were stupid enough to arrange a double date with my sister and brother-in-law (and they took along my niece) which made the night all the more sucky and less romantic (see more)
