Hate Being Single

since the recent breakup i just had...the only thing i really miss...is late night phone calls...and just knowing that he's gonna be there to protect me and make me feel safe.... (see more)

Why I don’t go to the movies alone. Ok, it wasn’t hard to find a friend who wanted to see The Dark Knight, but for every clearly awesome movie there are 4,822 movies I want to see that my friends won’t go to with me because either A) “It was directed by the guy who made Ernest Goes to Camp” is not that appealing a reason B) they already saw it or C) they want to go see it with their boyfriend/girlfriend. (see more)

-The acres of empty bed-space on a cold night
-Nobody to remove spiders and other unwelcome guests
-Nobody To Fix Things: nobody to change a tap washer or flat tyre.

-nobody to share a private joke with, or laugh with when watching TV or reading a book
-being unable to gloat over my single friends that I've Got Somebody

As I have mentioned before, I'm the type of guy who girls my age stay away from: I'm smart, get good grades at a private university, drive a nice care, dress well, play college sports, a gentleman who takes things slowly, I'm tall and skinny, and I'm preparing to go to law school. For some reason girls abhor guys like that.

So being single sucks because you never understand the songs on the radio, you never have anyone who you know is truly there for you no matter what (except family...but I don't have family anymore....), and you have no one to just hold in your arms until all the troubles in the world go away. (see more)

Everyone comes up to you and asks you why you are single. They feel like your personal life is their business, and you have to give them a reason. They expect some sort of explanation for it. It's annoying because people think you are defective in some way unless you are in a relationship. (see more)
