Ghost Hunters. No offense to the show, it's perfectly average on it's own. But the effect it has on people is staggering. Somehow, the entire population of America seems to believe that just because they say 'based on true events' that the whole thing is non-fiction. The only thing they could do to save the show at this point is to have one of the characters get eaten by some demon-thing and have the rest of them bust out the shotguns and go down fighting. Even then, probably 20% of the audience would still think it was real. Twits. (see more)
