Woman dies after being ignored at hospital.

Surveillance video footage inside a New York hospital has shown a patient lying ignored in the psychiatric ward floor before she collapsed and finally succumbs to her death as workers failed to help.

The 49-year-old Jamaican woman, Esmin Green, had been waiting in the emergency room for nearly 24 hours when the video shows her sliding from her chair and lying face down on the floor at 5:32 a.m. on June 19. A member of hospital staff and a security can later be seen passing by without doing anything.

The staff at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn finally checked on Green after another female patient got their attention, but it was too late to revive her.

The father of 2 children allegedly killed by their grandfather identified their bodies today as their NSW police officer mother recovered from surgery for an axe blow to the head.

The policewoman was today conscious in a Sydney hospital after being placed in an induced coma following an operation yesterday on a fractured skull.

She ran bleeding to her neighbour's home in Brougham Street, Cowra, shortly after 2pm on Monday, after finding the bodies of her 52-year-old mother, seven-year-old son and five-year-old daughter.

The policewoman's axe wounds were allegedly inflicted by her 69-year-old father at his weatherboard home in the central NSW
