i live in PI, but my aunt in the US owns a chinese restaurant (which stays quite busy).

What i know... mexicans cook your chinese food. don't go to a chinese restaurant first thing they open... they usually serve the leftovers first from yesterday's buffet.

not saying all places do this, but you know damn well... asians hate wasting food lol :P (see more)

If a customer that comes through the tim hortons drive thru being rude, they are most likely to have a wrong order.

Some ppl are so specific of what they want they say it slowly like we are 2 yr old.

we gave her bottom of the pots put extra sugar in it, and shook it not stired it, never saw here again.  (see more)

You get frozen stick of bread,
you leave it out for 45 minutes to defrost, put it in the proofer and then bake it.

Bedspreads and blankets are not changed out after each guest stay. The average cleaning program changes them out every 3-4 months and/or as needed. Too much money and labor involved in washing them daily. Stay under the blanket and sheet or bring your own.

Be careful of drinking out of glass/ceramic cups. Often, the housekeepers are too pushed for time and find "shortcuts". I have fired staff for wiping them out with the same rag used on the sink counter. Use only wrapped plastic cups.

Scenario:

Guest checks in for two nights in a room with two beds. The first night someone stays with him. They use both beds. Housekeeping comes in and remakes bed with the same sheets. Second night, only one guest stays in room, the other went home. On checkout date, which happens to be housekeepers day off, new housekeeper sees only one bed used and only changes sheet on one bed. New guest sleeps on dirty sheets. Turn down style remake in stayovers eliminates this confusion.  (see more)
