A surfer recently sued another surfer for "taking his wave." The case was ultimately dismissed because they were unable to put a price on "pain and suffering" endured by watching someone ride the wave that was "intended for you."

some guy was drinking, and became drunk. so he wandered near a building with a tree next to it. so he climbs the tree, trying to break into the buliding. he fell and died. his family sued both the company that owned the building and the tree company for planting the tree too close to building and that made it tempting to climb. and guess what? they won (see more)

A jury of her peers awarded Kathleen Robertson of Austin, Texas, $780,000 after breaking her ankle by tripping over a toddler who was running inside a furniture store. The owners of the store were understandably surprised at the verdict, considering the misbehaving little toddler was Ms. Robertson's son. (see more)

A ridiculous lawsuit filed by a judge was in part to his lost pants at a dry cleaners. The owners, the Chungs immigrated from South Korea to start a new life. However, this was anything but expected. The judge, Roy Pearson, sued for $65 million because it would cost $15,000 for the price to rent a car every weekend for ten years to go to another business, which just one of the odd parts of his lawsuit. A man sued Honda for $2.2million and won because he set the cruise control on his car and the went into the back to make a coffee then crashed! The case went in his favour because the manual didnt say cruise control doesnt drive the car for you! Ridiculous! (see more)

The family of Rachel Corrie, who was run over by a bulldozer in Gaza, is suing Caterpillar, the company that produces the dozer. Like it's there fault. I would blame the driver or the girl. (see more)

A man who sued his dry cleaner for $54 million over a pair of missing pants is not giving up on his lawsuit. The man, Roy L. Pearson, has filed a motion asking a Superior Court judge in Washington to reconsider her verdict. Mr. Pearson, a District of Columbia administrative law judge, says the judge in his case failed to address his legal claims when she ruled that the cleaners did not violate a city consumer protection ordinance. Mr. Pearson claims the cleaners failed to live up to his expectations of a ''Satisfaction Guaranteed'' sign.  (see more)

A lawyer ran into a lady's purebred st. Bernard and killed it. the lady sued for 9,000 for the puppies that the dog might have had. then the lawyer sued the lady for the damages that the dog caused to his car. 1,500. Case is still pending.  (see more)

A man in sacramento was using an atm at a bank and was hit by an old woman that was parking her car. She mistakening push the gas instead of the brake and pinned him against the atm. He is sueing the bank saying that the bank is responsible for his safety and that they have a "duty" to him to keep him safe.
