Fastest ball game in the world (and pretty dangerous too). It's one of Ireland's native games, going back to the 13th century... We call the ball a sliothar, and the sticks hurls...It's one of the GAA (Gaelic Athletics Association) sports. In Irish, it's called iománaíocht. Different points depending what part of the goals you get the ball...Dublin are naturally my fav team ;) (see more)

Actually, it was invented in Springfield, Mass in 1891. Naismith was origninally from Canada, though, but basketball was invented in the USA.

Haha, no. We say "Dia duit" (God with you) and the response is "Dia is Muire duit" (God and Mary with you...) - We're very traditional Roman Catholic in Gaeilge :P
