On June 7, 1494, Pope Alexander VI authored the Treaty of Tordesillas, which divided the known, colonial world between Spain and Portugal. For a religious authority to sanctify and endorse imperialism - and to exclude the protestant British and other powers of the time (France and the Netherlands) - only intensified the need to establish colonies at a furious pace.

Almost all of the current problems of the known world can be traced to European greed and imperialism - and that greed was encouraged and supported by religious faith, cultural feelings of supremacy, and all are in this document.

Find a hot spot in the world: "Palestine", India/Pakistan, formerly the Apartheid system in S.Africa, the Rwandan genocide... Fault can almost all be laid at the feet of European powers and their irresponsible quest to dominate the globe.

Sure, America has made mistakes, but we inherited a pile of s*** left by our forebears, who pillaged, raped, and robbed the world unabated for 500 years. (see more)

I know he just got into office. But at the inaguration, there were 2 million people there and nothing that required police intervention(fights, arguments etc., not counting actually making sure obama was safe). This shows how much this man has already brought this country together. (see more)

ok here is why W. is the most influential President ever.

One. He started 2 wars

Two. How many comedians did he influence... have you seen Caliendo's impression? Hilarious....

Three. He actually did some good things he was very pro Africa even though Kanye said he didn't care about black people..(let me note im not pro bush and he did fuck up Katrina just saying)

Four. He fucked up the face of the republican party so bad the democrats could've nominated Satin for president and he probably would've beat McCain

so dont "misunderestimate" bush

note the competition said which president had the greatest impact on the world it never said positive impact (see more)

The best and most favored president up to date. Has changed the face of America by trying to avoid war and bond with other countries as a foreign policy. In those times, politicians still said it was a glory to go to war. (see more)

Ok I know a lot of people hate her but this is why she is the most influential to ME. When I was little I lived in D.C. for a year. Few years after we moved away we went back to visit. My mom took me to all the museums and stuff. At one of the gift shops I got a ruler that had all the presidents on it. As we were walking out I looked at the ruler and something hit me, I looked up at my mom and said "Mommy, why hasn't there been a woman president?" I must have been 4 years old at the time. That moment has stuck with me through my life. When Sen. Clinton ran for president she started out as the leader and fought to the end. Seeing my dreams realized that a woman had a GOOD chance of becoming president inspired me in a way I never felt possible. I felt that suddenly I could be what ever I wanted to be even if it meant being president because Sen. Clinton broke down those barriers and I am forever grateful that she did. That's why she's my hero. (see more)

re: Obama
Obama is very inspirational agreed... and i drove Sixty miles on election day so that i could vote for him cuz i believe he will fix the mistakes of the previous administration however; you can't call him influential when he hasn't done jack s-!^ yet as president... potentially yes he could be very influential and maybe work a miracle and save social security and fix the national debt too (unlikely) but as of now... nothing give him time though and we can HOPEfully do some great things collectively as a country

Especially in some rural communities in Africa where - believe it or not - some people believe the 'cure for AIDS is to have sex with a virgin'. Yeah. Ban teaching about condoms... Good job, W. ;P

that advocated any form of contraception (in Africa) other than abstinence! Try telling a polygamous tribal goat herder that the only way to avoid AIDS was through abstaining from sex...

Haha. I agree with most of your sentiment, and am not trying to argue - but his 'Pro Africa' mantle was total b.s. His first act as President (very FIRST) was to cut Federal funding to organizations
