On June 7, 1494, Pope Alexander VI authored the Treaty of Tordesillas, which divided the known, colonial world between Spain and Portugal. For a religious authority to sanctify and endorse imperialism - and to exclude the protestant British and other powers of the time (France and the Netherlands) - only intensified the need to establish colonies at a furious pace.
Almost all of the current problems of the known world can be traced to European greed and imperialism - and that greed was encouraged and supported by religious faith, cultural feelings of supremacy, and all are in this document.
Find a hot spot in the world: "Palestine", India/Pakistan, formerly the Apartheid system in S.Africa, the Rwandan genocide... Fault can almost all be laid at the feet of European powers and their irresponsible quest to dominate the globe.
Sure, America has made mistakes, but we inherited a pile of s*** left by our forebears, who pillaged, raped, and robbed the world unabated for 500 years.
