I think it's a fine testament to humanity that we carry on a tradition started by the Ancient Greeks. Honoring our ancestors is a beautiful thing. It also represents the human competitive spirit and I think if an Alien race were to witness the Olympics, they'd be impressed. (see more)

I'd like to think that the best thing about the Olympics, is that no matter where it is or where you are from you get a chance to see your nation's, country's, and or state's best compete in varoius sports. You have to take pride in what they do, playing for the gold. No matter what your beliefs may be, you can always say "WE TRIED".  (see more)

The best part of the Olympics definitely has to be watching your team play andkick some ass, or get their asses kicked. It doesn't matter though because it's thrilling and exciting to see your country compete with other top athletes from around the world and rooting for them all the way through. Knowing that a part of you, is taking part in an event so big. It makes you feel like you are a part of the games that it's you out there representing your nation, and for some people it might really be them there in a few years. (see more)

the best about the olympics is nothing to do with wining or even beeing good at something .... for me the best thing is that all the ppl competing there are from all over the world and they show me (us all) that we could live together without fight... war... or terrorism.... AMEN (see more)

The best thing about the Olympics would be the unity, people from all over thee world come to meet in one place to put the best athletes of there country to the test, but in the end its all about showing good sportsmanship with the rest off the world. the olympics r one of these things in our life that seperates us all humans from war-hate-misery-...it puts all our life beside and begins an event were all of us collide as friends, watever is between us-shall leave while we prove ourselfs in sport.
