competition: Dumbest Relationship Fight

One of my exes asked me a question. I gave her the correct answer.

She didn't believe me, so she called her Mom to ask.

I was young and egotistical, and this somewhat offended me at the time. In my defense, I wanted her to know that I could provide for her, could answer questions she had, or could at the very least 'out-google' her Mom if it came to it.

Stupidly, and indefensibly, I was offended when she called her Mom after asking me and checked out my answer. Her Mom confirmed that I was right, but that she didn't trust my answer was a little hurtful.

Granted, her mother is a doctor and is a genius, but it still stung a little to have to have my answer checked.

I was too proud to realize that WHO REALLY CARES?

Pride is a sonofabitch... It was all my fault, and we got in an argument about it. I should've not been so threatened by her need to verify with her own Mother, but like I said - I was young and needed to prove myself.
