competition: Sad Story!

So on Halloween me and my friend were driving up to UC Santa Barbara (3 hour drive) bcuz it's the place to be on Halloween. Anyway, we were like 10 minutes from the school when a dog ran across the freeway, the car in front of me slammed on their brakes and so did I BUT not fast enough. I tried to avoid the car but couldn't and I rear-ended the other car. We ended up on the shoulder of an exit and got out (mind that I was in a pretty "little" costume) and these guys were like yelling remarks at us from a wall near the freeway. I ended up in the hospital (they wanted to make sure we were ok) for the whole night, my parents had to drive 4 hours to pick me and my friend up, my car was totaled and the doctors had to cut my costume off of me, so it's ruined AND the dog got ran over (it was a terrible sight) :( FML.
