competition: Lamest Dating Behavior

Okay, I had my heart broken badly when I was 22. I lost something like 20 pounds, so if you see pictures of me on here where I look skeletal (one with my Dad, in particular), that's why.

At the time, I was a manager of a restaurant outside of D.C. - and we always had a parade of beautiful 18 year old hostesses. I'm a little bit of a flirt, and her witty rejoinders and reciprocal flirtations got my mind off of my recent drubbing.

So I dated her. For a year. Total rebound - total bullshit - totally too self-absorbed to have actually been in a relationship with someone else. That's pretty lame...

In my defense, I tried. We went on romantic road trips, but we drove in silence - because she couldn't really carry a conversation.

What's worse, when I finally broke up with her, it was over something really lame. I think it was over the phone.
