competition: Best Oil Spill Solution

This idea is "out of the movies" but there are four tall rock formations within a 5 mi radius of the area. The U.S. can send a sub to torpedo the top of the formations to create an "avalanche" that will fall on top of the oil leak and stop it from gushing out further oil.
