competition: If you could turn back time to fix one thing...

when I trained in martial arts, my club got invited to the national qualifiers for the olympics in Greece. Because I'd been out of training for about a month, I said no. at the time i thought my quanjanim meant it was like in 2 weeks or something but it was a few months away... even if it had been 2 weeks away... I should have gone for it. cause now i regret it. Sure i probably wouldnt have got selected to go to ~Athens... but I might've... But now i'll never know. one thing i truly, truly regret in life.

If anyone else hewre is ever in a similar situation, go for it. you might feel you got no chance or you're too rusty or whatever but at least you'll have tried. you wont be asking yourself what might have been.
