I was two years old when I discovered them on Tom Snyder's Late Show. My grandmother put me to bed and I howled when she left the room, so she turned on the TV. U2 was just beginning their set and I was instantly calmed and fixated.

Like a "disturbance in the force" right before a new album comes out, my life falls apart; and by the time it's released, things are better.

Each album is different but the same. Different in sound and dynamic, but it's still the same four guys from Dublin that rose from nothing to something great and not only share their talent, but also their wealth, with the world.

They're like the hug you get from someone you love, or a jolt of energy when you don't think you can continue on.
