And when he says "oh, my oldest just started to play piano," you know it would have to be the 8, 3, 3 for their ages because there is only one 8, unlike the two sixes...

Well, you find all possible divisors of 72, and add them up... and you will find that two sets of numbers (8, 3, 3) and (6, 6, 2) both add up to 14, which was what the number on the building was...

When guy two says: Well, the product of their ages is 72, and the sum of their ages is the same as the number on that building over there..

No...it isn't....here is a hint...the number on the building is important, but you don't need to know it...you can figure out what the number on the building was, too...
