Who cares about awards. awards only reaffirm said achievement in the eyes of the creator and the audience. I would rather find an underrated gem that I can share with other people than an album heavily praised since its conception.

Have you ever heard of underrated albums? I have many, many albums that I believe are better than thriller that haven't sold 10% of the copies Thriller did. That's like saying Mcdonald's is the best place to get food because it's sold millions of meals. There are things much better than Mcdonalds, as is with Thriller. It is nearly impossible to decide the best of something because there will always be a great prospect of overlooked. That is why I believe Thrille is not the best Pop album of all time.
