competition: Lie that you believed as a child

My older brother always loved to play mean jokes and pranks on me when we were younger.
I was 4 years old when I first saw Halloween; the movie completely scared me and left me paranoid. When Halloween IV came out I was 7 years old and my brother who's been saying I was adopted for as long as I could remember, told me that I was really Michael Myers niece and that he had killed my real mom and was coming for me soon.
A couple of years after that he got a jump suit and without me knowing a Michael Myers mask. Then once a year around every Halloween until I was 16 he would stand outside my window in full Michael Myers gear holding a huge knife. I was so scared that I hid under my bed crying until someone would find me in the morning. When I tried to explain what happened they blamed it on watching scary movies the night before.
My brother finally came clean about it when I was 16 and he had already moved out.
